What would we do without our wise mothers and grandmothers?! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful remembrances. My Mom made all my clothes as kid and I was always emphatic about matching colors and style (no ruffles!). Purple and orange?! Together? Impossible!! Now I see them as the summer palette.
