  1. heavenhappens – Welcome to my life. You can share my grown up world here at http://heavenhappens.me where I blog my faith, my thoughts, my life, my travels, my photographs and my poetry. Growing up just after the war was a grim experience. So, now that I have 7 grandchildren, I am reclaiming my childhood by seeing the world anew through their eyes. Every minute I spend with them is magical. So this blog is for them ~ Ben, Rosie, Tiffany, Stanley, Thea, Mateo, and the youngest, Olivia! I hope, when they are all grown up, they will enjoy reading it and finding out about their grandma’s life, and know how very happy they made her. I hope you enjoy reading my posts, leave a comment or a link and I will get back to you. I’m sorry to say that my darling husband died of Covid on Good Friday 2020. Since then the wind has gone out of my sails and I’ve hardly written a thing. I will try to pick up my life and start writing again one day. But for now please enjoy exploring my life🕊️

Geology is such a fascinating subject! You tagged your posting with “granite” but it seems to me there might be some evidence of metamorphic rocks? Just wondering…..

  3. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

    Interesting rock formation.

  6. marycjohansen – Long Island, NY – I am firmly in the present and I plan to reside here. Still, the past is with me always. There I am at all ages in all stages of life. At the same time, here I am--a product of all those other moments, all the influences, all the decisions that make up my life up until today. Is anyone good at envisioning the future? I'm not. I do see myself aging gracefully as I travel the world and doing whatever I can to make my future and "the" future a place of love, and peace and understanding and gratitude. So, I exist in a prism of time.

    Lovely poem!

  7. Bill Bisgood – Wales – An optimistic opsimath, I'm enjoying rediscovering poetry and prose, hoping being older will not lend too much gravitas to life. I'm a recovering psychotherapist, one time detective, long term husband, fisherman, baker, gardener, long walker, dad and grandad. On a few of heady occasions I was a character consultant for ‘The Bill', 'Casualty' and for a Welsh language film drama. Photography fills a few creative gaps.

    Lovely concept, much enjoyed 😀

  8. What I especially like is the amorphous and somewhat ambiguous patch of whiteness. Snow? Fog? Sea foam at land’s edge? The imagination is free to decide.

  9. It looks like a highly textured abstract painting! What a pleasing composition.

  10. Rene Yoshi – Just a transplanted Okinawan-French Southern girl with a wee bit o' Irish, sharing photography and what I'm learning about spiritual things, including putting off legalism and religious traditions, and embracing God's matchless love, tender mercy, and amazing grace!

    Love it!!

  11. mbwhite7 – I'm a blogger with two wonderful, happy, now adult children. But I remember when they were growing up. They faced all kinds of situations, temptations, and choices that could change their entire lives. It was impossible for me to stand next to my children all the time with advice, so I gave them what I could: whispers in the ear - words that could stand in my place. And because I'm also an initiated Orisha worshipper, the words I gave them were African proverbs. I'm sharing some of my favorites with you here - may they whisper in your ear and help you through! You can find my blog at https://wordpress.com/pages/whispersintheear.wordpress.com

  12. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. I am revisiting this blog after many years, many life changes and challenges and finding myself surrounding by joy and resilience. Join me for the transformation and transition.

  13. firefly1275 – Louisiana – V. Rose enjoys creating mystical characters and worlds, with a touch of the modern day world. When she is not writing or thinking up her next story ideas, she is enjoying South Louisiana sunset.
