  1. So it does. The distillation of winter reveals much.

  2. Apple Hill Cottage – Renovating a little cottage in the country that's been in our families for years. Three years of renovating on weekends took its toll, and we moved in before it was finished. Yes, we knew the warnings… but still, we're here now and our adventures have changed a bit...

Poignant and hopeful as we all age…Well done! As always. 🙂

  3. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

    It certainly does

  4. JunkChuck – Westsylvania, PA, USA – Native, Militant Westsylvanian (the first last best place), laborer, gardener, and literary hobbyist (if by literary you mean "hack"). I've had a bunch of different blogs, probably four, due to a recurring compulsion to start over. This incarnation owes to a desire to dredge up the best entries of the worst little book of hand-scrawled poems I could ever dream of writing, salvageable excerpts from fiction both in progress and long-abandoned. and a smattering of whatever the hell seems to fit at any particular moment. At first blush, I was here just to focus on old, terrible verse, but I reserve the right to include...anything. Maybe everything, certainly my love of pulp novels, growing garlic, the Pittsburgh Steelers and howling at the moon--both figuratively and, on rare occasions, literally.

Hits hard. I like this quite a bit.

  5. annadreams89 – Dublin – Ive always had an interest in the more creative side of things.Although I'm not particularly tech savvy, I'm still learning, I appreciate that through technological advances today everyone anywhere can spread and share their own individual thoughts and interests, beliefs or even dreams all with the click of a button. I wouldn't hold an interest in blogging or the act of blogging per say(there's often too much choice out there its mind boggling) and Im more of a film viewer, music listener kinda gal but I've always enjoyed trying new things.. Through this blog I intend to share some of my poems/songs I've written as well as posting other poems/songs by other poets/songwriters and/or musicians that touch me in some way. In doing this I want to examin the many ways we can interpret things, in this case lyrical, through our own personal perspectives, making and creating through our worlds through the power of word using our own mind, body and spirit.. We all have a voice and our words can hold darkness and light, both being equally beautiful and powerful. Through Lyrics and Perspectives I want to explore this and learn and see through other eyes too so anyone thats interested in sharing please do!

  8. chelawriter – I thought retirement would give me more time to write, but as with may others, my experience of retirement so far is that it is far busier than my employment years. Two wild fires with evacuations and extensive damage to my home have not helped. Repairs are almost complete, and fingers crossed things will settle down so I can post more often.

As ever, your photos and words capture my perception of life in the world around me, and provide a smile and a reminder of the best attitude for my meeting with my day.

  10. you’ve captured the essence of graceful aging here – so succinctly, it took my breath away.
