  1. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

  2. journeyintopoetry – Leeds UK – My name is Christine and I have been "flirting" with poetry for about a year now. In March 2011 I was diagnosed with MS and I am now embarking on a process of recovery both physically and emotionally. Recovery is a long, slow and sometimes difficult path, but can also be life changing, as I have already discovered in my recovery from alcoholism. My first task has been acceptance, which some days can be a little shaky as far as the MS goes, but I am getting there. Embracing my condition rather than wrestling with it has been important, but equally I will not allow it to define who I am. I am hoping the poetry will help with this. I know very little about poetry and its various forms etc, but I am reading and learning. So I write my poems as therapy for the MS and also because sometimes it is simply fun to do, especially as I now spend more time at home. This is a big step for me, letting others read my poems. I hope you enjoy them and they make some sense.

  3. nadiaminkofflondon – London based designer of bags and jewellery, my blog is a daily ( or almost daily) snapshot of something that inspired, motivated, made me laugh, interested me or that I felt needed sharing. Hope you enjoy it!

  4. simon7banks – Harwich, UK – I write poems and stories, often mystical or fantastical. I believe very strongly that poetry is an art of the spoken word, so the sound of the words is important: so please say my poems aloud, if only in your head. I live in the U.K., in Harwich, Essex, but have worked in Kenya and Finland, and travelled to many other places. This is my literary blog. I'm also a Liberal Democrat political activist, birder, long-distance trail walker, real ale drinker and Quaker.

  8. blkkat49 – United States – I just want to write about anything that inspires me and to share this with everyone who wants to read it. I'm drawn to blank spaces and want to fill them with pondering, and advice and pictures. I know very little about a lot of things, but a lot about a few things. I write poetry, short stories, fiction and nonfiction and I love to read what the world of writing has to offer in any venue available. That is why I'm here.

    Ummm Ummm…tasty, and tastefully done.

  9. spiritualdragonfly – Eastern Shore – I WANT OUT OF LABELS. I DON'T WANT MY WHOLE LIFE CRAMMED INTO A SINGLE WORD, OR STORY. I WANT TO FIND SOMETHING ELSE, UNKNOWABLE, SOME PLACE TO BE THAT'S NOT ON THE MAP. A REAL ADVENTURE. A MYSTERY. A BLANK. UNKNOWN. UNDEFINED"(Chuck Palahniuk) *************** So, I've started my 'ABOUT' page with this particular quote because I feel it's a pretty good fit for me. Every day of our lives is a blank slate, a new beginning that we get to fill......Each day I'm evolving, so to try and tell you who I am is going to change on any given day. One day I'm spirited and wild, the next solemn. One day I'm anxious, another I'm full of piss and vinegar. I guess you could say I am a Hodge Podge....living a sometimes beautifully chaotic, yet simple life that I choose to share with you......

  15. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......

    I hear the crunch!! Yum.

  16. Robyn Haynes – Australia – Robyn enthusiastically pursues a green and writerly life on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia, where her background as a doctor of social anthropology equips her with an interesting slant on the human condition. She spends much time indulging a passion for her garden where she ponders life and attempts to stave off existential angst. In her more reflective moments she makes wry observations on courtyard gardening and its parallels with life.

  19. Dr. Denny Wilkins – Dr. Denny Wilkins professes journalism at a small, private university in the Northeast. He has climbed, hiked, kayaked, photographed, skied, and otherwise meandered aimlessly throughout the American West for decades. He has degrees in geology, environmental studies, and communication — and has tried to make use of them as a co-founder of the progressive cultural blog ScholarsandRogues.com. He’s broadly interested in how the world works and why it works that way. He hates writing, although he does like having written well.
    Dr. Denny Wilkins says:

Wonderful colors, great depth of field …
