We used to have one of these at Apple Hill Cottage when I visited here as a child. My mother-in-law sold it, and my husband is forever mad at her. It’s on our agenda to replace it sometime… but somehow roofs and windows and doors are taking priority 🙂
But oh how I love this photo.
I love that water well spout! very kewl! Hugz Lisa and Bear
Well, well… Hang a tin cup on it, and it could be my grandparents’ pump.
“hang a tin cup on it” 🙂
Conjures up visions of summer in the country, a place I never was in real life, but dream about.
I just love your perspective!
Thanks Patricia
Excellent, it’s true Nature is the giver, we hardly do anything — we just receive her about bounty.
AWWw!!! Lovely..I’m touched and nostalgic, it reminded me of Childhood..and What an Insight!
I’m so glad it brought you a memory.
Yeah, actually it reminded me of well in my grandfather’s garden 🙂
Beautifully bucolic
If these lovely photos come from your property then you live close to heaven 🙂
It feels like heaven.
ditto on this comment… and also thank you “seedbud” for liking my “Tree Less” 🙂
One of man’s more useful inventions…but I still love my electric pump!
Smashing . I love the photo.
Very beautiful photo!
There is nothing so satisfying as pumping water from the ground.
I love old pumps, especially when they’re still in working order. So cool!
