  1. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

  2. Kentucky Angel – Owensboro, KY – I'm a somewhat normal, extremely old, grammy, living in Kentucky, and living with MS since the age of 15. Just turned 72, so that's a lot of years. I would tell you how many, but I flunked math, and numbers give me a headache, so I avoid them at all cost. I love to crochet, knit, scrapbook, cook and visit with friends in the lobby of the building I live in. Most of the time I have a sense of humor. Other times I don't. At one time I was a musician with a guitar, but after age and time, plus a few falls, I can no longer play my guitar, so it now lives with my son. Now I play the radio, always with perfect pitch. Well, almost always. Depends on the station or the CD I'm listening to. I try to find something to laugh about every day, another way to get thru each boring day without picking my nose in public.

As beautiful as I remember. I lost you for awhile after my computer crashed, and it has taken me a long time to find you again, but I have always remembered your beautiful photography. Happy New Year.

    1. So sorry to hear about your computer crash. So glad you found me again! The very best to you and yours in the New Year! Cheers, Catherine

  5. Gill McGrath – UK – I am an artist. I love paper. I love using limited color/colour. I work quickly in oils and with pastels. Things close to hand make the best subjects for me. I write everyday.... shopping lists, to do lists, poetry of sorts... and a diary, often on the same page. And now I take photos everyday.....and I think I am a street photographer. 6. greenmackenzie – Scotland – Hi, I'm Seonaid, and I share my home on the shores of Loch Ness deep in the Scottish Highlands with my husband, my son and a collection of dogs, hens and a cat. I love art which is here now and gone tomorrow...like food and nature...but also have a passion for vintage and the ancient past! Nature is my favourite muse, with her wild ever shifting seasons. I have been using and teaching mindfulness and relaxation for over 20 years, and have yet to become any sort of expert :-) I'm a Psychotherapist and Cancer Support Specialist in Maggies Highlands

  7. Beautiful imagery and such supportive haiku. I long for just 30 minutes in this scene as the temperature outside climbs towards 41o C, thats about 112 o F. The wind is blowing up from the North and gusting at 60 knots with fires burning in rural areas. This is our summer here in Victoria Australia, how I long for a little sojourn in that Northern winter.

    1. I hope the winds die down and the fires die out. I’ll have many more ‘cooling’ images as your summer proceeds.

    Very beautiful view!

  10. I would have never thought of lichen on granite as “warm” – but compared to your wire “holding” the cold, it truly seems that way. Lovely how you captured their essence.

Something beautiful, but something harsh with the barbed wire…interesting capture.
