Tom's Nature-up-close Photography and Mindfulness Blog – My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets.   8. Our state wildflower, the bluebonnet, is a lupine and it indeed conquers fields with its seeds. In the springtime here in Texas we have vast “seas” of bluebonnets and they are beautiful as are these in your photo. Blessings, Natalie 🙂

    1. Isn’t that ironic! I am struggling also to keep lupines in my garden. Of the four I planted last fall, only one made it through the winter and is blooming prolifically. I’ll save the seeds and scatter them around….here is hoping…

  12. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......
