  3. Aggie – Southern Arizona, USA – Life is an excellent adventure! My husband, Lou, and I have built an off grid homestead, including rainwater collection, solar power, and passive solar earthbag tiny home. I do bookkeeping, and we also make and market BathyDerm, an herbal bath tincture that is good for the skin and fades age spots.

  5. I love your photos images! Your subjects are so familiar with the landscape around where I live. My Montessori artists are going to be checking out your blog. They each have a blog and are currently in a photo editing unit.

  6. Son of Sharecroppers – I'm an attorney, but far more important to me than my work are my family and my hobbies: in particular, writing, photography, fishing, and guitar. I'm an amateur at all of these things; indeed, I am an amateur at all things important. But I keep trying to learn.
    Son of Sharecroppers says:

Lovely! The diagonals are great, as are the contrast between the crisp blue sky and the weathered wood of the barn.

  7. I read your words and I am standing right next to you. I especially like “snow quilted field” and the tree shadows on the barn. Lovely.

  8. estramer – Truckee, CA, USA – Eva is an award-winning watercolor artist born in Denmark. She moved to California in 1988 where she lived on the Monterey Peninsula for 20 years before relocating to Truckee, California in the High Sierras in 2010. Originally Eva started painting with watercolors because she wanted to be able to paint little sketches as part of her travel journals. Since then Eva says she has completely fallen in love with this fluid and expressive medium. She strives to convey different moods and motifs using bold colors and unique compositions in her luminous paintings. Nature is her inspiration, color is her passion. Over the last 10 years Eva has dedicated as much time as her busy life allows exploring and learning from many different teachers and mentors. She is currently represented by a number of galleries in California. In 2009-10 she spent 5 months as an artist in residence at Mendocino Art Center, which started her career as an art instructor. She strives to create an environment where students feel free to experiment and explore their creativity. Eva is teaching art workshops in the Tahoe & Reno area. Please check her website www.beautyonlocation.com for current workshop schedule.

  13. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......

What part of the world do you live?

  15. LB – I'm a woman who loves spending time on the motorcycle and in, or on, any body of water. I love traveling and reading, baking and cooking, taking way too many pictures, and enjoying my family and friends. Life is an adventure, and I want to remember and express my joy for it! This is a journal for me ... so I'll never forget the good times and to remind me of them on more challenging days.
    LB says:

I never tire of the contrast of blue and white. so pretty

  16. Dr. Denny Wilkins – Dr. Denny Wilkins professes journalism at a small, private university in the Northeast. He has climbed, hiked, kayaked, photographed, skied, and otherwise meandered aimlessly throughout the American West for decades. He has degrees in geology, environmental studies, and communication — and has tried to make use of them as a co-founder of the progressive cultural blog ScholarsandRogues.com. He’s broadly interested in how the world works and why it works that way. He hates writing, although he does like having written well.
    Dr. Denny Wilkins says:

Again, thanks for the blue sky.
