  2. penpusherpen – England.... – I like to write in my spare time, poems and short stories mainly. Time flies so quickly but I do try and write when the mood takes me. I love walking, (along the nearby Canal Paths, the Local Woods and anywhere that stirs the imagination) reading, (Science Fiction mainly) watching films (Johnny Depp orientated usually), Gardening, (when I can fit it in, weeds seem to grow like wildfire)..and I believe that you make your own path through this life, so plant flowers as you go and brighten your way..

  5. Nice detail.
BTW, Mick in Ireland just posted silver birch picture, too. If you don’t already know his site, here it is: http://meticulousmick.wordpress.com/2014/02/08/silver-wood/
I find that I sometimes post a similar or identical theme almost at the same time as another blogger (independent of the WordPress challenges). It is always so interesting to see how someone else interprets the same theme.

  8. estramer – Truckee, CA, USA – Eva is an award-winning watercolor artist born in Denmark. She moved to California in 1988 where she lived on the Monterey Peninsula for 20 years before relocating to Truckee, California in the High Sierras in 2010. Originally Eva started painting with watercolors because she wanted to be able to paint little sketches as part of her travel journals. Since then Eva says she has completely fallen in love with this fluid and expressive medium. She strives to convey different moods and motifs using bold colors and unique compositions in her luminous paintings. Nature is her inspiration, color is her passion. Over the last 10 years Eva has dedicated as much time as her busy life allows exploring and learning from many different teachers and mentors. She is currently represented by a number of galleries in California. In 2009-10 she spent 5 months as an artist in residence at Mendocino Art Center, which started her career as an art instructor. She strives to create an environment where students feel free to experiment and explore their creativity. Eva is teaching art workshops in the Tahoe & Reno area. Please check her website www.beautyonlocation.com for current workshop schedule.

  10. firefly1275 – Louisiana – V. Rose enjoys creating mystical characters and worlds, with a touch of the modern day world. When she is not writing or thinking up her next story ideas, she is enjoying South Louisiana sunset.

  11. Dr. Denny Wilkins – Dr. Denny Wilkins professes journalism at a small, private university in the Northeast. He has climbed, hiked, kayaked, photographed, skied, and otherwise meandered aimlessly throughout the American West for decades. He has degrees in geology, environmental studies, and communication — and has tried to make use of them as a co-founder of the progressive cultural blog ScholarsandRogues.com. He’s broadly interested in how the world works and why it works that way. He hates writing, although he does like having written well.
    Dr. Denny Wilkins says:

    I like this very much.
