Love your photo – sunsets are one of my favorite things to paint – watercolor is the perfect media to express the beauty of the glowing colors in the sky.
So true – gorgeous “sangre de cristo” sunsets for which our mountains are named, often tinting the snow in lovely subtle blending of all the colors in the red/purple/orange range of the spectrum
I have been taking my daughter to work at the break of dawn and have been blessed with many sunrises like this. It is a great way to start the day. And I also like the idea of a like button – you have many beautiful pictures and poems.
I agree entirely, and, having recently moved to the countryside from London, I would observe that you see more of the sky there – no large buildings or light pollution
Beautiful!
So true!
Beautifully expressed .
Oh, isn’t that just the truth? Lovely.

Great job bringing out the colours of the sky against the silhouettes of the trees.
Lovely photograph, the colours are beautiful.
Sunrises and sunsets are my favorite things to view. They are gifts from God!
What a great expression, I had never thought of the sky “flowering” – but so apt given all the amazing colors around this time of the year.

so lovely! and yes, it true that the sky and sun are our flowers of winter – where would we be without them? lost in the void!

WOW!!!!
oh. 🙂
Lovely observation as well as photo. The sky definitely sustains me when the other colors are subdued.
I don’t believe in perfection, but that is perfect. The harmony of the image and the poem staggered me, just for a second. A second is a long time.
Beautiful capture! 🙂
