The luna moth is one of my absolutely favorite animals, and particularly one of my three favorite insects (along with dragonflies and praying mantises). This is a great photo. Thank!
Perfectly wonderful to see this moth. I have especially loved the Luna. As a child, I use to don some green gauze curtains and dance the moth attracted to the moon. Unfortunately, since hurricane Katrina, I have not seen one. So yours is a blessing. Thank you.
It’s almost like a leaf……. beautiful.
Gorgeous photo.
What an extraordinary specimen and photo. Thanks for sharing. MM 🐞

How on earth did you manage this? Extraordinary.
Lovely. We saw a luna moth last month while staying in the countryside. Amazing!
Stunning!
I don’t like moths but I must say that is a beautiful one!!!
So incredibly beautiful, almost like a delicate textile piece. Love it!
I had to look twice, then a third. So beautiful in isolation.
Beautiful green shades.

Just a few days ago I found a white Luna Moth in my yard…
one of these days I’ll figure out how to add it to the verse I wrote for it.
I am enjoying a few quite moments looking through your posts…
