  1. Janet Holt – Bald Head Island, NC – I am on a journey of discovery. One that involves discovering the world around me and discovering myself. I have found that using a camera is making this process of discovery much more enjoyable. I trust you will enjoy it as well. My passion for all animals knows no bounds, but it is the parrot that has caught my heart! I am now involved in a campaign to help bring parrots in the wild back into their normal existence! The Indonesian Parrot Project is first on my list, and with a little help from our friends we will bring the Abotti Cockatoo back into a full, strong life in their natural habitat.

  2. heavenhappens – Welcome to my life. You can share my grown up world here at http://heavenhappens.me where I blog my thoughts, my life, my travels, my photographs and my poetry. Growing up just after the war was a grim experience. So, now that I have 7 grandchildren, I am reclaiming my childhood by seeing the world anew through their eyes. Every minute I spend with them is magical. So this blog is for them ~ Ben, Rosie, Tiffany, Stanley, Thea, Mateo, and the youngest, Olivia! I hope, when they are all grown up, they will enjoy reading it and finding out about their grandma’s life, and know how very happy they made her. I hope you enjoy reading my posts, leave a comment or a link and I will get back to you. I’m sorry to say that my darling husband died of Covid on Good Friday 2020. Since then the wind has gone out of my sails and I’ve hardly written a thing. I will try to pick up my life and start writing again one day. But for now please enjoy exploring my life🕊️

  4. I like this, it reminds of North Yorkshire near Hardwood not far from where I live. I was there this morning and the trees are in the same state of undress and the sky and clouds were the same. Nice one.

  5. typewriterpoet – I enjoy many poetry styles but enjoy short poetry the most and a little bit of microfiction, but the challenge of a long poem has it's enjoyment as well!

He has climbed, hiked, kayaked, photographed, skied, and otherwise meandered aimlessly throughout the American West for decades. Again, you have made me homesick for New England. This is the landscape in which I matured.

  7. seapunk2 – Thinker of thoughts, ordinary woman capable of extraordinary things, and idea person, creative and often holding a unique, unusual or surprising perspective. Strong personality, yet sensitive at heart. Mother, wife, guardian to three equines, seven rabbits, dog, and cat. It's my privilege to be living in the coastal area of the Pacific Northwest, among glorious monuments of the natural world, which seemingly never end. I've lived to fulfill my wonder and curiosity of the world, having created situations throughout life, simple and complex, which served to enhance my knowledge, experience and creative opportunities. I laugh easily! Contrary to popular opinions, heartaches did not make me the person I am. I am the person I am, in spite of the heartaches. This is my gift.

This brings back wonderful memories of my homeland. In my youth I used to marvel at the corn as it would rise from the clay soil and grow taller than I. It sounds simple but to a young boy experiencing life amidst surrounding farmlands it became much more than idle curiosity. I would walk between the rows, somehow comforted in its hiding…my mother had fits unable to see me on occasion…the adventure became well worth the periodic scolding afterward!
