Spring’s Aura

almost invisibly the willow
begins to emanate
her green energy field

gather
at the edge of the woods
beneath the willow tree

green goddess
her many limbs
holding up the sky

at first light
a quiet feast
high in the willow tree

early spring’s queen
the willow in her
golden crown

a cupola wears
the willow’s crown
of golden glory

beneath the changing colors
with feet in a rainbow of leaves
these are the seats to spend time with time

the willow glows
because she knows
the surety of spring

In the midst of winter,
the willow shines its golden light.
This is where the fairies dance at night.
