water and the afternoon
meander through
the marsh

wander along the waning meadow
beside busy insects gathering
and seeds scattering

the glittering cold
many storms still to go

on old ice pack
the brook fast with melt

from which to wander

still on the move
the brook meanders
through the woods

gentle path
through the flowering field
the road to happy destiny
Small Dog Big World
the place between
the call of the wild
and being called home
Wander
down by the vernal pool
where the big mushrooms
grow

from the tulips
as the violets wander by

outside the fence
of their beloved mountain

on wishes and hope

Wander outward
ever outward
toward the mysteries beyond.
Wanderer

and wanders across the meadow laughing in delight at the change of season.
