like hands in prayer
plants in praise of spring

a verdant velvet of moss
green sleeves
for tree limbs

verdant with spring
the brook rushes
toward sunlight

verdantly
spring takes hold
birch raise their chartreuse flag

this day
heaven sent
we are drenched
in peace and beauty

so many
shades of green
so few names

on quenched earth
rain becomes
reflections of the day

spring green
so verdant it vibrates
the color of life

The freezing pond
becomes a verdant marble.

As dusk descends a storm approaches,
celestial light graces the trees
and shelters the shadow of the house.
