snow blown
in all directions
yet one trunk untouched

pull the antler
door handle
to know
what resides within

sound signals
a brief
appearance

all the ways
of being
residing together

beneath
what is seen
symmetrical rings

experience, strength and hope
rise
from a single source

Winter loiters
in the month of March.

The old tree stands
like an elephant
remembering all.
