At The Boundary We Will Know We Have Met

even in the solitary woods
someone cared
to make good neighbors

down the soft pine needle path
amidst the tall tall trees
the breeze accompanies me

each petal’s edges
distinct within the group
solitary side by side

solitary walk
a revelation of light
darkness cannot hold

the sight alone
of cool blue
refreshed

the sound
of a solitary bird
walking the riverside rocks

at the new year’s start
everything seems to look and lean
into and toward the future

alone
with everything
between the clouds

A solitary blossom
reaches for the summit.
