A Sly Shyness

the morning’s exploration
a concentration
of stealth

the day ended so softly
I almost missed the kiss
that was her parting blush

mostly fall is raucous color
but at a small enclave near the brook
shy leaves blush hues of pink

the bloom demures from view
what trust and courage it must take
to reveal the source of your enigmatic state

shy buds
gathering the confidence
to bloom

blushing bud
opens to claim
full pure beauty
