on the surface of the river

held
to the earth
by a blossom
Growing Droplets
diminutive ones
ride the curve
to coalescence
Heading into Spring
ride the rails
out of winter’s shadows
into light and the beginnings of green
Trust
tricycles wait out winter
rusting and trusting
they will ride another day
