painted like
a picket fence
anomaly of white
Variance Of Variegation
First Light
morning shadows wander
while we wait
for the horses to wake
Mid-June
the garden comes into herself
and is as self realized
as the poppy is vibrant
Awash In The Sun
poppy petals
watercolored papers
flutter in the wind
Concealment
the golden glow of sunlit dill
a perfect camouflage
for feasting finch
Finch In Sunglasses
the demanding August sun
requires even the birds
to don shades
Hello
said the bunny
to the poppies
most delicious
Who Knew
it was possible
for a poppy
to be fringed
On A Hot Summer Day
the watering can
builds confidence
amongst the flowers
To Dine On Beauty
oh to hover in the flowers
and sip the sweetness
from every one
Poppies
cacophony of colors
a wild flowering
abandoned to joy
The Garden At Noon
from the shade
I take a long drink
of her colors
Harmony
poppies concur
red houses
for bluebirds
Look
two bright poppy eyes
one wears shade
mascara-ed stamens
In Love
red poppies
in dappled light
kisses from the garden
Roadside Greetings
joyful
shouts of color
to cheer the passersby
Vista
the garden
over looks
forever
Outside
trees tell
tales of freedom
outside the garden fence
Dreamland
intoxicating
flutter and glow
a dreamland of poppies
Poppy Tops
thrice she gives…
this flower after the bloom
and then her rain of seed
Petal Prayers
pink petaled benediction
blessed the time and tending
of the garden’s enduring grace
Properties
behind the tissue paper petals
resides the magic of relief and sleep
Oceanic Ornamental
their splash of red
and foam of flowers
washes across June
Poppies
Brave souls of impoverished soil
potent charms
who bring ecstatic dreams
