of night snow

the sun and moon
transposed

diamond edged air
cuts like a knife
morning moon’s cold light

emanating the light of the moon
no need for a knife to free its face
its spirit rises from the shape

moonlight magnolia
her fragrance
a memory of heaven

I recognize eternity
by the light of the moon

Midnight’s lamp
guides the sleepless
through the dark

In the moonlight
the shadow of summer’s ghost
passes by the pumpkin.
