despite the enormity
of the big dark woods
and the smallness of our feet
we can find our way through
Believe
Pergola
the roof of leaves
kaleidoscoping light
magic in the outside room
The Rooted Path
tree roots lattice the path
gentle stairs we ascend
in our journey towards the light
Watching Light Dance On The Water
deep in the quiet woods
by the unhurried water
my soul rejuvenates
Contemplating The Leaf
repetitions
of line
how intricacies expand
The Brightening
fuchsia lanterns
preparing to cast
their petal light
The Green Interpreter
consuming the color spectrum
and translating it
into a multitude of greens
To Hold It All As Sacred
dark and light
forever entwined
and always passing
Other Ways To Swim
light pools
in the shade garden
my mood dives into happiness
Umbrella Of Sunshine
casting light
creating shelter
from gloom
The Source
impossible to know
illumination
or glow
Allium Light And Dark
the depth
of light and dark
known best by the other
The Bloom Of Light
after many gray days
the sun itself
is a flower
and a flower
is a mirror
to the sun
The Radiance Is You
when the day is dim
make your own light
with the colors you share
Opening
each leaf bud
a catchall for light
incubating life
Daffodils
first lights
in the still dark landscape
twinkling like stars
Flowering Light
like the sun
forsythia an orb of light
rising from the April lawn
Collection Of Light
cattail torches
arise on the marsh
solidarity of light
Lit From Within
in the last days
brighter and more precise
than in all the previous living
A Cloud Of Angels
those flowers still blooming
at season’s end
deserve a special moniker
Rock Hopping
chasing warmth
autumn light traverses
the rocky river bed
One Step, Then Another
the last step taken
on this journey
is the first step of the next
Chiaroscuro
the landscape exhales
as color and light
crack open the darkness
The Spirit Moves
between shimmer and shine
the transcendental curve
of the heron
Come Sit
watch the slant of light
tilt us
towards autumn
Morning Glory
a sunrise of sorts
awash in colors and
offering light like a new day
Piecework
patchwork of light
on the forest floor
time quilts early autumn
Watching The Whispering
I saw
the soft sound
of marsh grass
The Elements Assistance
lean upon
the dependability
of day
Morning Sun
orb of light
fairy godmother of
mysteries and miracles
