honeyed autumn light

autumn days quicken
keeping pace with the meadow’s
movements of light and color
The Gilded Season
autumn’s garden palette
favors purple and peach
enhanced by obliquely slanted light

traveling with the morning light
the mountain revealed through the trees
then the pond shrugs off her shawl of pink mist
so tenderly begins this day

in the garden I begin to learn
how to let difficulties pass
like shadows across a petals

endurance
is a game
of adaptation
Dawning Rose
she opens
lightening and brightening
expanding into the whole of the day
The Saving Sunshine
banished now the dreary dread
of March through May’s gray
by pansy light and luminous leaves
Shadow And Light
in their differences
how they amplify and echo
each other
Near The Beaver Dam
beside the water’s current
a stillness settles on
that savors the day’s tranquility
Primrose
blooming at my feet
before the weather reliably warms
lightening and brightening each step
They Make The Sunshine
let the flowers
light
the way
Old Rose
blossoms
gone to hips
still reaching for the sun
Holding Place Until The Lamps Are Lighted
an insistence
of light within
the gathering grey
What The Lantern Occasioned
a light
without light
is how memory is made
Oh To Be
full of light
and flourishing
in the dead of winter
Skillful Play
they know to slow and cross single file
then resume full tilt running
on the other side
For The Storm Weary
daylight
makes some candles
just in case
The Light Like A Kiss Goodbye
sneaking in
beneath the storm
a caress of light and warmth
In An Instant
a single ray of light
splits the darkness open
an entrance for possibilities
The Space Between Moments
some sunsets
hold a part
of everything
