new slant of light
the colors start
as summer slips away
Whispers Of Adieu
Be The Way
like the water lily
feed your light
into the darkness
Jack-in-the-Pulpit
the seeds
of next year’s
sermons
Autumn Comes
leaves and water
trembling with the speed
of autumn’s changing colors
Nature’s Merriment
pink leaves
giggling up color
amidst the waning ferns
Geometry
lines and intersections
angles of angles
the fluency of plants
in the language of math
The Finished Bloom
like a hand
reaching back
for seeds too scatter
Black Rocks Green Leaves
beside the brook
light and shadow
conversed about
contentment’s ways
Deep In The Daylilies
one shiny black eye
unmasked
his stone disguise
Marsh Concerto
plunk and peep of frogs
whispers in the reeds
songs sung by leaves
Pergola
the roof of leaves
kaleidoscoping light
magic in the outside room
The Green Interpreter
consuming the color spectrum
and translating it
into a multitude of greens
A Duty Of Beauty
columbine has set her seed
one last hurrah
she blooms her leaves
As The Sun Rose
dreams lingered
like dew drops
on leaf tips
Garden Tapestry
the days
of summer
woven in leaves
The Source
impossible to know
illumination
or glow
Fuzzy Bloom
you there
as soft
as a bee
Opening
each leaf bud
a catchall for light
incubating life
As Necessary As Joy
May rain
like the tears
that cleanse the soul
Shimmering
alive again with rain
the brook a mirror
of renewal
They Bloom In A Bunch
lean in, lean in
and be transported
on the sweet scent of spring
The Thorn, The Leaf And Then The Rose
the thorns eternal
and budding leaves
enduring faith in the rose
Dreaming Green
the leaves and moss
the water and silt
an endless becoming
A Section Of Branch, Some Floating Lichen
in the swirl and blur of confusion
bits of clarity, be they small,
emerge as buoys
Awaken
splendid is the morning sun
beckoning to sap and leaves
rise sweetly and unfurl
The Greening Undaunted
the iris keep on
despite discouraging
evidence and occurances
March Mixer
raindrops in snow
atop the mulching leaves
entwined with the tenacity of grass
Together
we walk through shadows
and last years leaves
determining a path to the future
Self Sufficiency
the sun reveals
last year’s leaves
nurturing new possibilities
Parable Of The Winter Woods
some leaves remain
amidst the snow
how hard it is
the letting go
