banners wave
the hunting party gathers
to stalk their candy prey
Magnificence
I gloried
in the maple
taking her color as my strength
The Princess Tree
voluminous pink
in every shade and hue
adorned her
Concentration
a potent joy
in the brightness
of crabapples
The Dear Nearness Of The Wilderness
miles of mountains
populated only by trees
as it should be
Watercolored World
the edges
between everything
dissolving
Reformation
pinked
from chilly nights
dew and disintegration
Summer Blooms Summon Fall
the garden’s call of color
an invitation
to the leaves to turn
Clustered
crabapple
congregants
commune
Of Intricate Design
cloisonne’d wings
on an
all green being
When The Senses Become One
lamb’s ear
listening
to light
Trinity In The Vetch
sturdy, cheerful, simplicity
such grows in wild abandon
self-seeding beauty
In The Enormous Woods There Perches A Tiny Soul
feathered emerald
the size
of a birch leaf
The Same And Different
claiming self
notwithstanding
similarity
Within
hidden inside
tiny delicate flowers
can’t help but bloom
Azalea Ablaze
taking
her moment
in summer’s spotlight
Coleus Abstraction
flowering leaves
the dizzying combination
of chartreuse and pink
Jumping Up
exaltation
of summer’s
many tiny joys
Granite Face
head cocked
piercing eye
shy smile
Author, Author
the forest writes
her under-story with
a fern-pod feather plume
Each Leaf In Its Own Time
the landscape
fills
with color
Imagined Into Being
a green day dream
the whispering of leaf buds
the laughter of leaves
A Subtle Flourish
above
last year’s leaves
a complexity of delight
Promise
yellow tipped
leaves
presage daffodils
Apparel
rock wall in
a yellow rain slicker
dressed by April rain
Emergence
the past
arises
from the ice
You and You Again
a second
beauty made
by your shadow
Steadfast In Tribulation
buffeted
by the elements
leaves hold to branches
The Friendship Plant Abloom
spot
of brightness
in a winter day
Myself and I
in sunlight
I stroll
with my shadow
