glory

In Between

spring in her verdant glory
holding position
between the April snows

I gloried
in the maple
taking her color as my strength

each leaf
in their own time
glory then the fall

the light
was as thick as honey
its sweetness coated the day

each moment
an exaltation
saturated in joy

blue umbrella
opens out
to cradle the rain

a hallelujah chorus
rises from the gloriosa field

a glory of globes
sun sweetened
ripe and ready

The glory
of goodness
surrounds us.
