the wee-est of the wee forest creatures
lived in a village on a tree
safe and snug and happy as can be

just to stand upon it
you have already ridden
to your fantastical destination

morning opened
to the enchanted world
where Aslan might call upon us

voluminous pink
in every shade and hue
adorned her

pull the antler
door handle
to know
what resides within

winter’s
daydream
has arrived

white hooded woods
await
their queen

rose hips
octopuses
a garden masquerade

iris is where
the fairies shop
for ruffled petticoats

The wee folk embroider
with echinacea needles
using flower filament thread.

A tree of color shouts out into the bright blue night
calling to the night’s first, tiny star
friend, I’ve missed you.

The spirit of Maxfield Parish frosted the ground
with a sorbet of oranges, purples and pinks.
A winter elixir that chills fairies’ drinks.
