moth of many faces

peering into Johnny’s face
admiring his tiny yellow freckles of pollen
I can almost see my own beauty

turning her face
away from the cold
to shine just one more day

last year’s corn
a stubble on the field’s
greening face

young trees
shadow dance
on the rock face

head cocked
piercing eye
shy smile

taken by
a special face
in the cheering crowd

hair of gold
atop the granite face
smiling palisade

Splendid is the smattering
of red upon pink petals
freckle faced lily
enchanting girl of the garden

A hint of a face made of knots.
Is it wonder or awe or angst that it shares?
Could it be a wooden reflection?
