the flower in bloom

the garden’s stardust
comprised
of blossoms and buds

a fairy
flew by
trailing magic

neither
cold nor dormancy
stills the enchantment

the snowing of a
bright blue sky

the flower’s wink
magic in everything

magenta edged
curly girl
bewitches

early morning sun
stillness after the storm
the dazzling woods

by the frozen vernal pond
in winter’s dark white
the flutist plays

the pink forest
beckons
magic is afoot

summoned by
fairies and sprites
ice and snow
enchant the woods

Enter the magic forest
through the teardrop
in the tree.

At the edge of the forest
where enchantment begins
grows a tiny tree of goldenrod.

This is the path that leads to the place
where the flowers know your name,
walk slowly and listen to their stories of you.

On an ordinary day a walk reveals
the enchanted place
where the golden birch resides
totem for fairies and unicorns.

Like a sweet dream that lingers
the morning moon spies me through the trees
bestowing well wishes for the day.
