the clover and the dahlia
more similar than different
yet each particular to herself

here we are
so similar and yet
unreservedly different

all the same
while each one difference
such is universality

in their differences
how they amplify and echo
each other

the journey home
is strikingly different
but the destination is the same

deep in the woods
these three strangers
offered shelter

claiming self
notwithstanding
similarity
