At The Edge Of Sleep

a dream
passed by
in the blue and pink sky

longing to be
free as a cloud
riding the incoming warmth

those flowers still blooming
at season’s end
deserve a special moniker

the day’s
graceful exit
night’s curtain closes

stand of grass
a tethered
cloud

grey sky
dowsing
for sunshine

to be a moon
in the bright blue sky
a cloud’s dream realized

pink cloud
the lily blooms
filling the sky

Midnight’s lamp
guides the sleepless
through the dark

When the afternoon melts into dusk and evening is on the rise
new dreams are born in shadows and cloud forms
as old dreams disperse with the day.
