cut through
an infinity of blue

in a blueberry sky
whipped cream clouds
top Sunday Mountain

in the absence of leaves
branches alone
uphold winter’s bitter blue

immortal spring
emerges
from winter’s vestige

one storm is ushered out
the next is ushered in
brief is the blue sky

The blue blue sky
frees me
from winter’s grey gravity.

Heads held high
they search the meadow for true love.
