filled with snow
a cozy cold
winter’s nest

colors sang
old songs of joy
for all who happened by

with berries gone
leaves reminiscence
still coloring the lawn

a month behind the stone
the garden ruby’s
month is August

the fruit
of last year’s blossoms
hold a torch for spring

berries bright cheer us on
through winter’s night
until spring’s dawn

bright notes of red
the cheerful chorus
of winter’s song

a whisper of winter
a dusting of snow
so long autumn
hello cold

berry sparkle
morning mist
vision’s feast

berries frame the empty nest
that rests until spring’s request

A lone berry
provides purpose
to the empty nest.

Bright berries
dress up
dowdy winter days.

My eyes devour
tart cranberries in blueberry blue sky.
Nature’s banquet always satiates my hunger for beauty.
