In a world of green
take a green seat
and wait for the V’s of geese
to pull autumn into view.
Ruffles
One of the first appearances of autumn’s finery
is the ruffled fungi in pumpkin and cream.
Flame
The fireworks of fall
celebrate color
in all of its intensity and delicacy.
Journey
Watercolors
In a hard rain
the autumn colors blur
into an impressionistic painting.
