This confused me… I wondered what I was looking at!

  2. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

    Lovely photo; good, thoughtful, verse

  3. Laura Kate – One of six children, I was raised by a busy mom, who instilled in me a love of fabric. Though I learned to sew and knit at a young age, it was the arrival of my first grandchild that pushed me into action. A long-time knitter, I am now ready to explore all things fiber.

    Is this fungi, or rocks?

  4. humoringthegoddess – I am a writer of fantasy fiction that often surrounds middle-aged women. I am a married mother of two and granny to three, a BoHo Chic kinda gal. I am recently retired and busier than when I worked 9-5. But writing and blogging is my main game.

    Amazing colors!

  5. Layla Todd – Layla Todd is a micro-poetess and word witch from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, passionate about life where it intersects with writing and the dreamscapes lost in between. She studies creative writing at the University of Arizona and is passionate about helping writers and bloggers improve their skills.

These look like old reishi mushrooms to me! They often grow in abundance in the Blue Ridge.

    1. They do look like reishis, but my mushroom knowledge is very flimsy. Here in New Hampshire/Vermont I find them often on old wood stumps in the fall.
