  1. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

    Great philosophy

  2. Rene Yoshi – Just a transplanted Okinawan-French Southern girl with a wee bit o' Irish, sharing photography and what I'm learning about spiritual things, including putting off legalism and religious traditions, and embracing God's matchless love, tender mercy, and amazing grace!
    Rene Yoshi says:

So serene. I do see a heart formed by the branches. ❤️

  3. chelawriter – I remain committed to making a hobby - writing - into a career with one novel being marketed to publishers, lots of short pieces coming and going, another novel getting underway, and also a research project on creativity and coping with the effects of Parkinson's Disease.

Thank you for a marvelous sense of peace that flooded through me as soon as I saw this photo. Big smile.

  4. rugby843 – Wyoming – I am twelve years a widow and live by myself in a small apartment. I use a wheelchair to get around, but I wouldn't consider myself disabled. I'm nine years away from having bladder cancer resulting in a urostomy and I'm doing well. I just had my yearly checkup and am in good health. This cancer was a result of having radiation in 1995 because of uterine cancer. So have faith in yourself, a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. My first try at blogging was an attempt to help other people with my condition. I am a mother of three married children, and a grandmother to eight gorgeous kids, featuring them often here, and a great grandmother too. I enjoy exploring my feelings and like to try the challenges. I like humor, music, movies, games, and some sports. I absolutely appreciate your reading and commenting on my blog. I am happy to read all of your blogs and learn more about you. Please comment however you like, ask whatever, and I'll answer honestly. Thanks for reading! Cheryl

    Very refreshing, cool and beautiful.

  5. Unfortunately, the “now” where I live, only has the smoke plumes, not the northern lights like in this photo (which has both smoke plumes from horrendous wildfires and a lit up sky from light). The air is said to be worse than in Beijing in most parts of B.C., and I hear that Europe has unprecedented wildfires and resulting smoke right now too.

  6. Glad I saw this peaceful photo today 🙂

  7. jane tims – Canada – Hi. I am a writer and biologist. I am also interested in history and community sustainability. I write mostly poetry. My training is in botany, so I often include plants in my poems. Visit me at www.nichepoetryandprose.wordpress.com

    Very evocative photo!

  8. Apple Hill Cottage – Renovating a little cottage in the country that's been in our families for years. Three years of renovating on weekends took its toll, and we moved in before it was finished. Yes, we knew the warnings… but still, we're here now and our adventures have changed a bit...
    Apple Hill Cottage says:

the sharpness of the hemlock branches over the impressionist greens of the water — stunning photo! And, as always, your words are perfect…

  9. pastpeter – Sometime Senior Scientist, sometime Senior Pastor, now senior citizen, happily retired and living once again on Long Island, New York – the place people always want to leave but always come back to. Our retirement years have taken Marian and me to mid-coast Maine (A Maine Winter), to the New Hampshire Lakes region (A New Hampshire Journal), and then back to Long Island, where we had spent the 17 “best years of our lives” (Past Pastoring). We loved the north country, but are so glad to be “Home” (Long Islanders).
    pastpeter says:

    Monet it is, right, Diane!

  10. judybarton – Still in love, complicated, almost stupid, interested to recognize herself. "Up to the age of eighteen years old everybody writes poems; after, only two categories of people may continue to do it: poets and idiots." (Benedetto Croce). Obviously I do not consider myself a poet.
    judybarton says:

I like a lot this this one. Above allo this title and this text! Our life would be very easy if we could remind always this truth.

  11. camerapacker – Greenville, SC – I have been photographing since 1957. I am a retired pathologist, dedicated photographer, avid audiophile and occasional fisherman. I may comment on all of the above in my blog. My blogs will have photo graphic subjects I am currently experimenting with. I continue to teach photography at Furman University in the OLLI program. My classes include Photoshop skills and photo criticism.

    Really nicely seen and done.

  12. thereluctantpoet – It's Not For Fame And Fortune. That Comes From Being Known. The Reluctant Poet Writes To Give Words A Life Of Their Own. I have always written for the personal joy and satisfaction of bringing something into being. A similar feeling painters must feel when completing a painting. It's the process that mattered to me more than being thought of or known as a Poet. But having moved into the "Senior" check box category in life I have had an inner yearning to let my words have a life of their own apart from me and any reservations or reluctance I may have about "putting myself out there". I have been so blessed since starting to blog to have great Kindred Spirits - Singledust, DavyD, Sailorpoet, saynotoclowns and many, many others to share and enjoy this Wonderful experience. I love so much the warmth, caring and positive support from everyone that comes to visit, comments, follows me and of course "Chit, Chat". I have my Darling, youngest daughter to thank for getting me started in blogging. I had mentioned to her that I was wanting to see if there might be a way to get some exposure for my poems. In a couple of days she emailed me back and said, "You now have a blog - TheReluctantPoetWeb on Wordpress.com You need to start posting! I'm helping you face your fears by pushing you, so you can fly". I might still be in flight training but I'm off the ground! Ha! And to my Dear Friend Sailorpoet - I'm trying my best to become "The Unreluctant Poet". Thank you for coming by and please stop and visit!
