  4. Jazz Jaeschke – Jazz Jaeschke found poetry at mid-life, retired, and got a whole lot happier. Jazz spends many solo hours with her journal and poetry. Her memoir, in poetry, was published in 2002 (titled: Significance). A sequel is incubating. Photography, labyrinths, SoulCollage(R), Nature, and travel arouse her muse and poems spill forth. She facilitates an Internet poetry circle for Story Circle Network. Jazz lives in Austin, Texas, with two cats, one exuberant Labrador, and her just-right man.

    Shimmering and indeed prayerful

  5. Carol Westphal – I am a retired Reformed Church in America pastor, and I am also a person who has lived with the limitations of CFS/ME (chronic fatigue syndrome or myalgic encephalomyelitis) for a number of years. From time to time I do a bit of writing, sometimes related to my CFS/ME experience, sometimes not, and I also love capturing the beauty of flowers on camera and then reflecting on life through the prism of these flowers. Enjoy! Carol Westphal

  6. mohansphotographs – Gwalior Madhyapradesh INDIA – A surgeon and endoscopist by profession Dr. Mohan Sharma is an active practitioner of his profession. Born on the first of May 1960 he showed initial glimpses of the versatile talent when he became a national merit scholar. The Surgeon GMC Nagpur is where he received his MBBS,MS and moved to JIPMER Pondicherry for his senior residency. A fellow of the International College of Surgeons he has also been awarded a fellowship by the Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in India. The Artist His paintings reflect an unexpected versatility of emotion, thought and action that will transport you across the length and breadth of human possibilities. He experiments with the various media and you will find serene watercolors rubbing shoulders with dramatic acrylics and stark pen and inks complimenting the colorful crayons. Till date he has created nearly 140 works which find pride of place in the corridors of the hospital where he practices. More remarkable is the fact that he has had absolutely no training in the arts and is completely self-taught in the use of the various media. He has a small but devoted fan following among his peers and patients who have bought several of his paintings, the proceeds from which he gave to charity. He feels painting works like meditation, helping him develop the focus and clarity required by his profession as a surgeon endoscopist. He says that the Almighty has given every human being a gift for creativity and that we should recognize it and use it to serve mankind. The Philanthrope The proceeds from the sale of his paintings go to an NGO called Roshni which works for mentally challenged children. The Rotary Foundation of India selected him as a GSE member to visit USA as their goodwill ambassador. An active rotarian he has done extensive voluntary work over the years. A member of ASI, IMA, IASG & SGEI he has had the honour of presenting papers in several national conferences. A recipient of Rashtriya Samrasta Samman he has managed to retain a passionate interest in painting while remaining an active surgeon, endoscopist and conscientious global citizen. 7. Cynthia Guenther Richardson – Pacific NW – Hello fellow readers and bloggers, Writing has always been a powerful connector to diverse ideas and people. We each are a meaningful part of this beautiful, ever-widening web of life. Blogging enables more interaction, which I love even after 11 years of blogging posts on three different sites. For thirty years I was an addictions/mental health counselor and also a manager of home care services for elderly folks. Now that I have hit 70 and am more devoted to a creative life! I've published online or in literary journals/collections several times, including fiction and creative non-fiction pieces and poetry over five decades. Additionally, I was nominated for a Pushcart Prize for an excerpt of my novel-in-progress, Other than Words (the work gathering dust at present), about a mute dancer and her impact on her adopted community and a world-travelling photojournalist. I also am working on a connected set of stories about a close-knit town in northern Michigan. On Wordpress I enjoy writing about living richly despite (or because of) life's setbacks and a diagnosis of heart disease at age 51. Posts tagged "memoir" share spiritual adventures, interactions with nature, the healing of trauma's impact and challenges of writing full-time. Short stories and creative nonfiction, and poetry are favorite genres but I enjoy sharing my photography as well My hope is my offerings reflect a profound faith in God and our humanness which cloaks spiritual natures. I include myself as part of the diverse group of writers who discover and share the illuminating, positive experiences amid life's uncertainties and hardships. Let me hear from you when you visit--I appreciate your comments a great deal. Blessings and regards, Cynthia

  8. Robyn Haynes – Australia – Robyn enthusiastically pursues a green and writerly life on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia, where her background as a doctor of social anthropology equips her with an interesting slant on the human condition. She spends much time indulging a passion for her garden where she ponders life and attempts to stave off existential angst. In her more reflective moments she makes wry observations on courtyard gardening and its parallels with life.
    Robyn Haynes says:

What a unique photo. Your words express it beautifully

  9. judybarton – Still in love, complicated, almost stupid, interested to recognize herself. "Up to the age of eighteen years old everybody writes poems; after, only two categories of people may continue to do it: poets and idiots." (Benedetto Croce). Obviously I do not consider myself a poet.
    judybarton says:

    This is quite beautiful

  10. Morgan – Pennsylvania – Cynthia A. Morgan is an award-winning author; free-lance columnist, blogger, poet and up-and-coming podcaster. Currently working with GoldenNetwork.TV in a project that will make her dystopian fantasy Mercy Series and her young adult fantasy Dark Fey Trilogy available globally via ROKU, Morgan’s captivating tales serve as a backdrop for powerful messages like ‘show thankfulness through kindness and appreciate blessings through generosity’ and ‘the only way to achieve peace is by becoming peace’. . Morgan is also the creator of the popular blogs Booknvolume and Word Mongery and Musings where over 18,000 followers regularly explore Morgan’s own brand of poetry, musings about life, photography, book reviews and more. Upcoming projects include a fictional drama in Regency Period England, a non-fiction exploration of the supernatural/paranormal and beliefs around the world, and a return to the realms of Dark Fey in a mind-bending prequel. . When asked how she feels about writing, Morgan has said: “To write; to paint with words as an artist bedecks his canvas with hues and shades and layers of pigmentation; to sing a melody upon which the gaze may linger and over which the heart may muse again and again: to create visual splendor with grammar and language is the most beguiling form of intoxication in which I could ever take pleasure.” .
    Morgan says:

I truly LOVE your perspective. This is SO Beautiful <3
