  1. judybarton – Still in love, complicated, almost stupid, interested to recognize herself. "Up to the age of eighteen years old everybody writes poems; after, only two categories of people may continue to do it: poets and idiots." (Benedetto Croce). Obviously I do not consider myself a poet.
    judybarton says:

    very nice

  2. pastpeter – Sometime Senior Scientist, sometime Senior Pastor, now senior citizen, happily retired and living once again on Long Island, New York – the place people always want to leave but always come back to. Our retirement years have taken Marian and me to mid-coast Maine (A Maine Winter), to the New Hampshire Lakes region (A New Hampshire Journal), and then back to Long Island, where we had spent the 17 “best years of our lives” (Past Pastoring). We loved the north country, but are so glad to be “Home” (Long Islanders).
    pastpeter says:

I love this one. You have a great eye!

  3. I like the concept, there is only one thing that doesn’t fit with the poem: “common rock”, there are scriptures and sermons in rocks.

    Fantastic photo.

  4. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......

It does look like a painting!

  5. spiritualdragonfly – Eastern Shore – I WANT OUT OF LABELS. I DON'T WANT MY WHOLE LIFE CRAMMED INTO A SINGLE WORD, OR STORY. I WANT TO FIND SOMETHING ELSE, UNKNOWABLE, SOME PLACE TO BE THAT'S NOT ON THE MAP. A REAL ADVENTURE. A MYSTERY. A BLANK. UNKNOWN. UNDEFINED"(Chuck Palahniuk) *************** So, I've started my 'ABOUT' page with this particular quote because I feel it's a pretty good fit for me. Every day of our lives is a blank slate, a new beginning that we get to fill......Each day I'm evolving, so to try and tell you who I am is going to change on any given day. One day I'm spirited and wild, the next solemn. One day I'm anxious, another I'm full of piss and vinegar. I guess you could say I am a Hodge Podge....living a sometimes beautifully chaotic, yet simple life that I choose to share with you......

  11. Robyn Haynes – Australia – Robyn enthusiastically pursues a green and writerly life on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia, where her background as a doctor of social anthropology equips her with an interesting slant on the human condition. She spends much time indulging a passion for her garden where she ponders life and attempts to stave off existential angst. In her more reflective moments she makes wry observations on courtyard gardening and its parallels with life.
    Robyn Haynes says:

I just love these mindful photos. It would be so easy to walk past these small wonders were it not for your bringing attention to them. Thank you.

  12. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.
