  1. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

  4. Scarlett Montrose – If you are going to follow (or just read) this blog, you should know: Scarlett Montrose is not my real name. I used two seperate names from two people from two different books to create my new name. It's not that my real name is secret or something; it's just that it's very hard to pronounce. You see, english is not my native tongue. On the up side: if you guess from which books my name comes, I will read and review a book at your chosing. Yes you read it correctly: it doesn't matter which book it is. It can really suck. That is how much you guys mean to me. I made this Blog, because I'm totally obsessed with books. There everywhere, just laying arouns on the floor, tables, chairs...Like I said:everywhere. So, yeah, this is Me. Hope you like what you read :).

  6. dennyho – A Virginia native, I was born in RVA. In my twenties I married and moved to SoCal where I learned to love a new landscape, was forced to drop my ever present southern 'ma'am', and discovered the necessity of honing my (lacking) map skills. In due time I found myself in C'bus where our daughter arrived and gladly I put myself second. Next city on tour was the 'Burgh (as in PA) and here we welcomed our son. Many years later, I now reside in E'ville, Virginia, Earlysville for those of you who may not know of my sleepy little hamlet resting within Charlottesville in the piedmont of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As I look back over the the abbreviated stops along my life's highway I know I've stepped foot in every spot, met every person, and experienced every high and low for exacting yet unknown reasons bringing me to where I am today. The who I am today is because I travelled that highway, made those stops, and dared to believe I do have it all.

  9. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......
    2ndhalfolife says:

    Very nice.

  10. I like this. The photo is perfect and I like nasturtiums. Thank you

  11. firefly1275 – Louisiana – V. Rose enjoys creating mystical characters and worlds, with a touch of the modern day world. When she is not writing or thinking up her next story ideas, she is enjoying South Louisiana sunsets.

  12. modestly – United Kingdom – Reflective, and domestic, a wannabe poet and philosopher drowning in the complexities of life. More Marge Simpson than Elizabeth Barret, but what the hell.Tripping through life with the aid of dead writers, and some live ones, minor medication, and a wonderful, loving, maddening set of teenage boys, and a husband I adore. Update - the boys are no longer teenagers and I still adore the man. https://platform.linkedin.com/badges/js/profile.js

    Superb image. Well captured!

  13. M. – Since I was little I liked to visualize and create things. Painting with watercolors is what makes me happy now. That, and spending time gardening and reading. I love long walks, biking, and the beach.
