  3. Tom's Nature-up-close Photography and Mindfulness Blog – My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy. 10. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......
    2ndhalfolife says:

    An ocean of snow wave

  16. a beautiful love story and so ephemeral…perhaps true love is not meant to last for ever. or maybe true love is meant to be ever changing. I get the sense we are meant to fall in Love with Life itself, so that every experience feels as rich and succulent as your photos say it is…

  21. ddaline – Still have first story I wrote, at about age 5, “Dirterella,” which I vaguely remember thinking was a clever take-off on “Cinderella.” At age 10, my play “Adventures in Afghanistan” was given a cold reading by my 6th grade class. A very cold reading. Since then, short stories, short novels, short plays, which led me to come up with the name of my blog, "A Woman of Few Words," which I also thought was clever. Some things never change…
    ddaline says:

Don’t like snow, but I love this photo.

  26. jhoudephotography – Montreal, QC – In her forties, Josee Houde developed a true passion for photography. Her style as a photographer is evolving, with particular emphasis on employing selective blur and natural filters to somewhat transform reality. Street photography and macro photography are two styles she particularly loves. If she has a muse, it is the dandelion in its fragile cotton form. Josee works with her iPhone 6 just as much as her Canon 5D. She loves the ease and freedom the phone provides. For her, photography is more than capturing a moment; it’s also about interpreting it in her own light, altering it somewhat. Things are not always what they seem.
    jhoudephotography says:

    Love it!!

My classes include Photoshop skills and photo criticism.

  29. J. Kelland Perry – In 2010, my husband and I left the city to escape to rural life in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and we're savoring every moment. Once or twice a week I update my blog with everything I love through prose and photography, as well as posts about writing. My first novel was released in March 2016 and its sequel was released in March 2017. My third novel, this time of the speculative genre, is in prepublication.

  30. Barbara – Currently I am revisiting my love for photography, which started in the 80's, then waned as Life took over, and now returns! What do I shoot? At this time, most anything - flowers, grand kids, our cats, my city, friends. Yup, just about anything.
