  1. Sharifah – I am a writer and former journalist exploring the many facets of life. The title of my blog mirrors my philosophy. I celebrate all the concentric circles that form my identity: Malay, South East Asian, a global citizen. I believe that there are more similarities among people that can help us understand each other.

    Beautiful words and colors. 🙂

  2. Tienny The – I am an animator who graduated with a Diploma in Animation Art from Lasalle College of the Arts. My interest is in illustration and animation for young children with a focus in the pre-production process – script, storyboarding and character design, and illustration. My style leans heavily towards the education and manga genres. In 2018, she wrote and illustrated a picture book Turtle City: Cavity Monsters. In 2019, I graduated with a BA Illustration and Animation Design at Raffles College of Higher Education in Singapore with First-class Honours. During my study at Raffles, I have enhanced my writing skill, especially in script-writing. I am adept at using design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effect, and Premiere Pro. Moreover, I am self-motivated in pursuing higher knowledge and to acquire rich industry experiences to strengthen my skills and portfolio. My varied experience is shown in the gamut of projects I have worked on, from 2D animation B2B vs BFF for Google, to illustrating a children’s book An instrument for Eddie, to comic inking for Association of Comic Artists (Singapore), character, web, and app design for TTC Apps, and even teaching art and robotics at various MOE schools. She is currently pursuing her MA Design Management on a scholarship.

  4. 67merrill – Taos, NM – Check out my new YouTube short videos at: https://www.youtube.com/@LJM-67chs You can find the links to purchasing my books on Amazon on the Community page of the Youtube channel. Help me grow the channel by subscribing and liking and sharing! I am a long-time artist and more recent writer. I've published three books—Secret Voices from the Forest: Thoughts and Dreams of North American Trees, with work begun on the fourth. Not just the physicality of them, but their views on life and their place in the world. Yes, I actually talk to the trees. Not as nutty as you may think, and I say that as a Mid-westerner. Non-confrontational environmentalist. Exploring the world of aging, hopefully gracefully. Came to live near Taos, NM, USA in 1997, where I built an off-grid straw bale house at least partially by myself. Not so great at laying slab or putting on roofs. At the moment, there are 2 cats here with me. I don't let them out, cause they eat everything that won't eat them first, and it's just too brutal. I'm a cusp (Taurus/Gemini) and truly am of two minds about whether we're going to make it much longer as a species. So I try to stay positive about the news, although it's getting more difficult all the time. One bright spot is the messages from the trees, which are unfailingly zen. They are great teachers, and do keep me from going the depression route, cause I don't believe anger/blame/futility from me is going to make the world a better place.

I just want to say, since you don’t have a “like” option, that I enjoy your beautiful photographs and poems.

  5. Kenne – I am writing about what comes naturally to my heart and all expressions of light. I experience the world through my own filter... sharing my inspiration with any interested. In this new time, my exploration of light and love will turn to the inner light of all humans, all worlds and the love that connects us together.
    Kenne says:

I love the composition of the flowers.

  7. Gretchen Del Rio – Crestline, California, USA – I first discovered the magic of water based colors when many years ago I began to paint with procion dyes on silk. I loved the unexpected quality of the process. It was so exciting to never be sure what the colors and water would combine to produce. It seemed as though the medium had its own passion. Painting with watercolors and paper is much the same. I love the color combinations and separations that occur spontaneously as the color floats on the water. You can never totally predict what effect will result. If you try to control the medium too much, your painting will be very tight losing its aliveness. The artist must be bold and decisive or the work will not be clear and fresh. It is really like a dance. It becomes a controlled folly in knowing when to let go and when to take charge of the direction that the painting is taking. The images that I paint reflect my emotions and are expression of my life experience. They are not extensively planned, but rather evolve as the painting progresses. I am always surprised by the end result since it comes into being because of what the medium and emotion has suggested. The paintings are from my heart and I always fall in love with the subject. I believe that we are all connected and, if an image touches you, it is because we all have the same heart even though our paths may be different. Most of all, painting what I paint makes me happy. The paintings are my own path unfolding. They are an opening door for me and contain my own passion for life.
    Gretchen Del Rio says:

So peaceful as all your photos.

  13. Dr. Denny Wilkins – Dr. Denny Wilkins professes journalism at a small, private university in the Northeast. He has climbed, hiked, kayaked, photographed, skied, and otherwise meandered aimlessly throughout the American West for decades. He has degrees in geology, environmental studies, and communication — and has tried to make use of them as a co-founder of the progressive cultural blog ScholarsandRogues.com. He’s broadly interested in how the world works and why it works that way. He hates writing, although he does like having written well.
