I was interested to see that I initially spelled the word as ‘cumberbund.’
Since I don’t think I’ve ever written the word before, I wondered about the difference, and found some fascinating information about cummerbund/cumberbund here. Apparently I wrote the word as I’ve always pronounced it. Now I know!
