i love the reminder of eating-while-picking, but I’m also reminded that no one would want to eat one of our Texas cooking pears right from the tree. They’re hard as a rock, and not at all tasty, until a good cook turns them into pie, or preserves, or some such.
Yummy. I’m a city person, but I love fruit off the tree, freshly picked veggies from my local farmers’ market, wine from the vineyard. Yeah for farm people! Beautiful picture.
