On the left, the ground has been “improved”, maybe only by the dung of the animals kept there, maybe more deliberately by the farmer. Possibly even a different kind of grass has been sown. At ground level you might not notice the difference with the “unimproved” land.
What a fantastic illustration of the difference I saw in colors before and after my cataract surgery. The grass was green the whole time — I just couldn’t see it.
