Lovely Dahlia. I have recently started to grow them without having the awareness that our climate is not so kind to the beauties. They have me in their hold though and I have gone to great lengths to protect them from our early frosts. Such treasures. thanks for sharing 🙂

Dahlias are most beautiful, I have always been reluctant to grow them as the only insect that makes me nervous is an earwig, and these flowers seem to attract them. A beautiful photo.

Dahlias are such a beautiful flower perfectly illustrating sacred geometry.
That gorgeous lavender/purple is definitely not a common fall color…although I saw some lavender colors today in someone’s garden, limp from first frost, looking like over-sized crocusses.
