  1. I’d never heard the words “kheer aur shakkar,” which means I didn’t know where “seersucker” had come from. What’s so funny is that my favorite dishcloths are the ones my mother loved to make from sugar and cream cotton yarn.

    And I haven’t found good seersucker for years. I love it!
